After completing a set number of activities, the "Xplorers" receive a certifi cate and a collectible souvenir. Q] What does it cost? A] It is free of charge. The program is included with regular site entry fees (www.parkscanada.gc.ca/xplorers). DARK SKY PRESERVES For another free thrill, gaze up at the sky after darkness descends. Parks Canada has Dark Sky Preserves at Kejimkujik, Kouchi- bouguac, Point Pelee, Bruce Peninsula, Grasslands, Fundy, Jasper and Wood Buffalo national parks. With its Canadian Dark Sky Preserve Program, The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada promotes accessible locations where you can appreciate the beauty of the night sky and its signifi cance to nocturnal wildlife.
